Positioning Through SEO

Positioning Through SEO

If you are in the market for a SEO company you want to make sure that you ask the right questions to insure that they get the information they need to plan the right strategy for your company. One of the ways that SEO companies get at the information that they need to rank your website in search engines is to ask them questions. You want to ask them questions such as:

1. How many years experience do you have?

Experience is very important. SEO is a new field. Even the best SEO consultants have only been in the industry for 2 to 3 years. This is why you want to see numbers, not generalized statements by SEO companies but facts. For example, how does your SEO person train? Do they provide trainings? Do they stay current on the latest SEO techniques?

2. What SEO techniques and strategies will you use?

You want to hire an SEO company that has an in-depth knowledge of search engine optimization and that is going to integrate that into your website. There are some techniques that could hurt your website in the Google rankings or ranking not at all. You want to eliminate these. Ask your consultant to explain how they will optimize your site and if they provide the best SEO strategies for your needs with these strategies your website will get ranked in the search engines.

3. Will your SEO company provide you with a monthly report on progress?

An SEO company that tells you they will provide you a monthly report on the progress of their SEO efforts is a company that is not happy with their service. Will they be supplying you with detailed information about the progress of their SEO? If yes you can consider your deal.

4. What do you know about the recent algorithm updates?

If an SEO company has an understanding of the recent Google algorithm changes, you can consider theirs is a very good chance that they are very cunning. If they do not want to share with you the tactics they use then it is no way to deal with them. It is your responsibility to find out what they do and are doing in order to provide you with the best SEO services.

5. What changes will you recommend to improve my website?

If you have a site that gets a low ranking will they continue to work with you or come up with a solution? If you are a new site will they recommend you the same? These are the type of questions you want to ask a prospective SEO company before engaging them.

6. What amount of traffic can I expect to have after they have optimized my site?

You want to be able to measure the results that are produced from their optimization efforts. You will need to be able to predict future trends and figure out how much work they have cut into your business.

7. How will you track my SEO efforts?

You need to be able to track your optimization efforts so that you can see the results. Providing you have an action plan, you will find out if you are getting value from your SEO work.

8. What does Google currently rank sites?

If you are providing search results that are based on keyword density, the number of links, and the age of the domain, you may want to take another look at your site.

9. Will my SEO work go live tomorrow?

SEO doesn’t go live yesterday, it can take months to start getting live traffic from your optimized keywords. Keep this in mind.

10. Can I see results before I spend money on SEO?

Once you have asked the above questions, you should be able to see an improvement in your website traffic and the corresponding profits that you will make. Be sure to use your new SEO consultant to answer your questions such as those regarding the expected increase in traffic and resulting profits.
